XLPLAT provides data integrity.Redundancy of data is minimised as far as possible. Spreadsheets allow multiple data entries which results in alot of redundant data.
There is no limit to the number of records that can be stored in XLPLAT.The data gets loaded quickly and has no overheads. There is a limit to the number of records that can be stored in a spreadsheet.Along with it large processing overheads exist to access data.
XLPLAT can be accessed anytime,anywhere.All one needs is an internet connection. Spreadsheets have an offline operational mode wherein files need to be shared or the individual needs to have a copy of it to access it.
The data stored in XLPLAT is backed up regularly and can be recovered easily if required. Spreadsheet have many chances of file corruption.<
XLPLAT is a very secure server. Spreadsheets do not provide enough security.
